WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Feb. 5, 2013) – Sulzer has acquired Krøger A/S, a manufacturer of dispensers in Greve, Denmark. The acquisition was signed and closed on Feb. 5, 2013. Krøger A/S achieved sales of CHF 9 million in 2012 with 35 employees. The acquisition expands the product portfolio of the business unit Sulzer Mixpac and strengthens its position as technology leader and solution provider for 1- and 2-component application systems for industrial sealants and adhesives.

ERLANGEN, Germany (Feb. 1, 2013) – Hudbay S.A.C Peru, a subsidiary of Canadian Hudbay Minerals, has ordered technical equipment from Siemens for the power supply and integrated automation at its Constancia copper mine in Peru. The order also includes preassembled power distribution units (E-houses), fully equipped transformer substations with high voltage and medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, capacitor banks and transformers

WASHINGTON (Feb. 1, 2013) – Danaher Corporation and Eaton announced that they have completed the previously announced sale of Apex Tool Group to Bain Capital. Danaher and Cooper Industries each maintained a 50 percent joint venture ownership interest in Apex. Cooper Industries was acquired by Eaton on November 30, 2012. The divestiture of Apex Tool Group was previously announced on October 10, 2012.

PITTSBURG (Nov. 20, 2012) – HYOSUNG GoodSprings (HGS), announced that Siemens has selected HGS as the supplier for its Condensate Extraction Pumps (vertical can) and Condensate Recirculation Pumps (API-610) for five combined cycle plants being constructed in Texas and Argentina. HGS has also delivered its first circulating water pumps in the U.S. to a geothermal power plant in northern Nevada.  These pumps have been in service for almost one year. 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Jan. 31, 2013) – The CWEA Cutting Edge Technology Committee will hold a panel discussion in the Palm Springs Convention Center on April 18, 2013, which will focus on the problematic "flushables" issue in modern trash/wastewater.
