LOS ANGELES (Sept. 20, 2016) — PumpMan, a provider of pump system maintenance, repair and new system installation, announced that private equity firm Soundcore Capital Partners LLC has acquired the company. As part of the transaction, Don Devine has been named new CEO of PumpMan. Devine brings more than 25 years of leadership experience at multi-million dollar global corporations including American Standard, as well as expertise integrating strategic acquisitions to drive growth. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed. "I'm very excited to join PumpMan, which is the clear leader in on-site maintenance and repair of pumps and pump systems in Southern California," Devine said. Immediately prior to joining PumpMan, Devine was CEO at World and Main, an omni-channel distributor of home, hardware and building supply products. Previously Devine held CEO positions at Custom Building Products and American Standard, and was president and chief operating officer of the Jacuzzi Brands. “I’m confident that, with our growth orientation and best practices, PumpMan will attract the best professionals in the business, ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest level of quality and customer service,” Devine said. “The entire team at PumpMan is really energized about our future, and we can’t wait to add more great people as we progress." Soundcore made the decision to invest in PumpMan after reviewing more than 1,000 different companies in the space. “Pump system maintenance is a very fragmented industry, with thousands of small businesses, of widely varying quality,” said Jarrett Turner, managing partner of Soundcore. “PumpMan will apply its industry leading systems and training as the company adds other quality operators around the country.”
