WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (March 1, 2017)—Sulzer has announced the change of the legal name from Dowding & Mills (U.K.) Limited, which encompassed the electrical service offering and general mechanical repairs (formerly known as Bootham Engineers), to Sulzer Electro Mechanical Services (U.K.) Limited. The change of the legal entity name will take effect on March 1, 2017, and will bring the U.K. company structure in line with Sulzer’s global initiative to leverage synergies across the Rotating Equipment Services division, according to a statement from the company. Sulzer said it will continue to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. The electromechanical aspect of the business provides essential services for the repair and maintenance of rotating equipment, while specialized services are also provided for pumps and turbomachinery. Chris Powles, head of Electro Mechanical Services, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said in the statement: “Our U.K. network has 16 electromechanical service centers that form a significant part of the electrical repair capability within the whole of Sulzer. As such they provide a wide range of specialist services that are essential for the electrical and mechanical portfolio offered to our customers worldwide.”
